In Eligh’s song, “To Angela”, he samples a piece of a song and the piece has the lyrics, “How I miss you.” It sounds like an older song. I cannot for the life of me figure out what song he sampled it from. Can someone pleeeease help me?
It’s definitely not T.I. Eligh’s underground, he don’t mess with mainstream.
I’m a dancer and I want to make a dance to a good hiphop instrumental song. For example in the movie Step Up they had some really nice beats. Can anybody give me some suggestions? Or a certain song that has a good beat to it? I would prefer something hiphop or r&b. Please and thanks!
I probably considered about 10 or 15 other producers but to me I couldn’t have a top 10 without all these 10 on there
1. DJ Premier
2. Marley Marl
3. Prince Paul
(The rest in no order, because there’s reasons why any of them could be #4)
Pete Rock
Large Professor
J-Dilla
Madlib
The RZA
Dr. Dre
Showbiz (it was brought to my attention a while back that nobody was chopping samples like Showbiz, before Funky Technition and Return of the funky man without him no Primo, Pete Rock, everybody ect. ect. as we know them)
What do you think, and what’s your top 10?
I just kind of want to see where you guys stand
I’m asking what you think are the top 10 Greatest hip-hop producers of all time
I was 18 in the fall of 1990, and down in South Carolina in the Army. Heard a song on the radio, and part of the chorus has stuck with me for 19 damn years, and I want to know the song:
Main clue: the chorus samples Chuck D. from Public enemy, saying “rhyme animal”…
The rapping is “lite rap”, a bit “new-jack-swingish” … the chorus starts with two girls in harmony, singing, and then then the Chuck D. sample comes in, then the girls, and it repeats.
I don’t how accurate my memory is, but I remember the chorus as:
“Don’t you know – [I'm a rhyme animal]
Don’t you know – that’s how I feel
Don’t you know – [I'm a - I'm a rhyme animal]
Don’t you know – that’s how I feel …”
Putting that into a lyrics search yields me “ZERO” results but I KNOW I’m not crazy … I want to see if that song was (in retrospect) cool, or really lame.
i cant seem to find the genre of music to sample pianos from to give my beats a more underground hip hop feel. if u want an example listen to nujabes luv sic here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDew2Ct40L4

I would like for my boy friend to have his music sold to a bigger main stream, should I paton his beats? How can I present his music to bigger known stars.
I would prefer a some-what advanced software. Also, can anyone tell me some good ones to download on P2P networks like Bearshare or LimeWire?
I have PC…not Mac…just incase someone would like to know before they answer.
